Tutorial 3—Train the Trainers

The tutorials

As you see on the tutorials and training resources page [http://www.HealthInfoIowa.org/tutorials/], three tutorials are available. Each tutorial is targeted at a specific audience:
  • Resources for Professionals is designed as a one or three hour presentation with professionals who deal with consumer health information in some way (i.e. county extension, school, library, and public health personnel as well as healthcare providers and support personnel). The tutorial can be used in a large group presentation or by an individual working online.
  • It's Your Health is designed as a one hour presentation with the general public. The tutorial can be used in a large group presentation or by an individual working online.
  • Train the Trainers is designed as a three hour presentation with people responsible for training others in their workplace, either colleagues or the general public.

All of the materials for teaching each tutorial are available from the HealthInfoIowa website [http://www.HealthInfoIowa.org]. Some documents are available in [html], some are available in [pdf] format (documents accessible with Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free browser plug-in), and some are available in both [html] and [pdf] formats. The [pdf] documents are available so that you can download them and print audience handouts.
