Tutorial 3Train the Trainers
Are you responsible for training consumers or other personnel in your agency? This module provides guidelines and resources for working with consumers and other health information providers so that they can learn to locate, evaluate, retrieve, and make use of consumer health information found through HealthInfoIowa, MEDLINEplus, and other recommended resources.
Objectives
By the end of this session, you should be able to:
- discuss concepts related to health literacy and consumer health information and relate these concepts to your agency's goals and activities;
- achieve the behavioral objectives outlined in Modules 1 and 2;
- use materials provided by HealthInfoIowa and other selected resources to customize a training program for constituents in your own agency; and,
- use evaluation tools provided by HealthInfoIowa to assess the effectiveness of training measures.
