The site provides current clinical medicine resources for specialists, primary
care physicians, and other health professionals. Key features include
peer review articles, coverage of major medical conferences, daily medical
news features and updates, continuing medical education activities, and
access to 50 medical journals and textbooks. Medscape is organized by
medical specialty, each with its own website. Specialty content is
evaluated, created, and presented under the guidance of editorial and
scientific advisory boards. Registration is free.
National Library of Medicine (NLM)

This site provides information resources from the worlds' largest medical library, which collects materials in all areas of biomedicine and health care. Resources are formatted into searchable database and databanks, bibliographic citations, full text (when available), archival collections, and images. Resources include:

PubMed provides access to over 11 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE and other related databases, with links to participating online journals. PubMed was developed in conjunction with publishers of biomedical literature as a search tool for accessing literature citations and linking to full-text journals at web sites of participating publishers. Additional resources include access and links to the integrated molecular biology databases included in MCBI's Entrez retrieval system. These databases contain DNA and protein sequences, 3-D protein structure data, population study data sets, and assemblies of complete genomes in an integrated system. MEDLINEplus

MEDLINEplus provides up-to-date, quality healthcare information from
the world's largest medical library, the National Library of Medicine at the
National Institutes of Health. The site contains extensive information about
specific diseases and conditions and wellness; a medical encyclopedia;
excellent drug information for over 9,000 prescription and over-the-counter
medications; and 30 interactive modules for patient education (the
interactive modules require a Flash plug-in, which can be downloaded free of
charge). Also provided are directories for location and credentials of
doctors, dentists, and hospitals; health information in Spanish and other
languages; and clinical trials.
