This document from Iowa's IANET Task Force provides guidelines for communicating in speech or writing with persons who have disabilities. In addition to general guidelines, the site includes specific suggestions for people who have cognitive disorders or mental retardation, hearing impairments, muscle disorders, and vision impairments. The site also provides suggestions on developing web sites that are accessible and user-friendly.
