Project Objectives
The ICHIP focused on five objectives for HealthInfoIowa:
- Health information consumers and providers will have access to a single consumer health web site that will combine national, state, regional, and local resources, improving their access not only to printed information but also to agencies, organizations, and services that can help consumers meet their health information needs.
- Health information consumers and providers will improve their ability to: search health information databases; find health information related to their needs; and evaluate the quality of the resources they find.
- Health information consumers and providers will be able to obtain or connect with identified resources, resulting in statewide equity of access to health information resources.
- Health information providers will enhance their ability to evaluate, select, distribute, and promote high quality health information and to assist consumers in finding and evaluating health information.
